Leeds Libraries will be decamping to Leeds Dock for a day of free ‘Library Lab’ creative tech workshops for 6 – 8+ year olds.
Based around the S.T.E.A.M principles of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics these workshops will utilise some of the most engaging, child-focused educational products on the market.

Library Lab – Drawing Hacks
Draw, paint and create an artistic piano that plays a real tune. Join us for this fun taster workshop of tinkering as we merge art, music and technology. Suitable for children aged 6+.
14.00-15.30
Library Lab – Coding in Minecraft
Make amazing things appear in Minecraft on a Raspberry Pi computer, from castles to magic bridges to retro games. You’ll learn basic coding skills using Python and no experience of Minecraft or coding is required. Suitable for children aged 8+.
