We’re going on a bear hunt…
The magic of Michael Rosen’s children’s book, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, has been brought to life at Leeds.
There are 35 giant bear sculptures hidden in plain sight on the streets and within the parks of Leeds for ten weeks from 1 July as well as 50 smaller bear cub sculptures.
Keep your eyes peeled for the giant bear, Sir Bear-A-Lot at the Royal Armouries, as well as 2 bear cubs, Be Kind to Others and Jack on board the water taxis between Leeds Dock and Granary Wharf. Share your photos with @LeedsDock and tag #LeedsBearHunt.
The bears form a family-friendly trail of discovery, taking visitors and local people on adventures around the city and surrounding open spaces.
Designed to celebrate the vibrancy, culture and creativity of Leeds, and to raise money for Leeds Children’s Hospital, the trail is deeply rooted in the local community.
Each bear has a story to tell through its design by a local, national and international artist, designer or illustrator, and sponsorship by a business or individual.
